A Nelson school trustee thinks the community is ready to let Trafalgar Middle School go.
Curtis Bendig says he’s surprised there wasn’t more opposition to closing the 92-year-old building.
Trustees voted almost unanimously to close Trafalgar but the final decision won’t be made until next week.
The move is contingent on expanding Blewett elementary.
It will also mean reconfiguring other local schools as K-to-7 and adding Grade 8 to L.V. Rogers.
