Man rescued near Creston

A dramatic scene just outside of Creston Friday night, at the Canyon Bridge.

Two local fire departments were called in after an intoxicated man fell down the embankment at the south end of the bridge.

He was about 75-feet down and couldn’t climb out.

Creston Fire Rescue conducted a rope rescue to pull him up.

And Canyon-Lister Fire Department assisted by shining their truck lights into the canyon.

The man was transported to hospital in Creston where he was treated for scrapes and cuts and released.

The incident temporarily closed Canyon-Lister road.
