Nelson piggybacks on paving project

The City of Nelson will take advantage of the big paving project between Playmor Junction and the Taghum bridge.

The Ministry of Transportation has offered to repave 2.5 km worth of Granite Road within city limits.

And city manager Kevin Cormack says they’ve agreed.

The city will spend $113,000 to pave from the Kootenay canal bridge to the power plant.

That’s about one-third of what it would otherwise cost.
