Canadian Tire heist suspects appear in court

We now know the names of the three suspects arrested following the gun heist from Canadian Tire in Trail.

James Duncan Beetstra, 31, Dustin Paul Zier, 33, and Dori Ann Swanson, 41, are each charged with several weapons-related offences as well as possession of stolen property.

Beetstra and Zier are being held in custody pending a court appearance Friday.

Swanson is out on bail and returns to court Aug. 9.

The trio was arrested in Nelson a day after the early-morning break-in at the store.

Fifteen guns were taken, but only three have been recovered, along with the stolen pick-up truck that was driven into the store.
