More rainy days than normal last month, stats show

We had more rainy days than usual in July but less rain overall.

South East Fire Centre Weather Forecaster Ron Lakeman is speaking to last month’s numbers.

We had 15 days of measureable precipitation with 27.2 mm last month.

The average in our region is 10 days at 48.1 mm.

Our hottest day was the 29th when the temperature got up to 35.9 degrees.

That is well short of the record set on July 30, 2003 when it got to 39.9.
