The Nelson rec commission is considering a request to ban plastic water bottles at the community complex.
Chair Valerie Warmington likes the idea provided they can find alternatives.
The request comes from the local chapter of Kairos, a social advocacy group.
In 2008 the City of Nelson banned bottled water in its facilities.
