Work on temple at Yasodhara Ashram starting up

The on-site construction of a new temple on the East Shore gets underway this week.

Crews will demo the remains and excavate where the Yasodhara Ashram old temple stood.

It was destroyed in a 2014 fire.

Spiritual leader Swami Lalitananda says this marks the true beginning of the project.

The main temple structure is being built in Balfour and will be shipped over on the ferry.
