Trust puts up $250,000 for South Slocan recreation

A big grant for three recreation projects in South Slocan and Crescent Valley.

Slocan Valley regional director Walter Popoff says the Columbia Basin Trust is putting up $250,000.

The funding will go toward improvements at the Crescent Valley beach and paving a portion of the rail trail.

It’ll also help pay for a pedestrian tunnel when the South Slocan bridge is filled in.
