The jaws of life were called out Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision at the corner of Cedar and Carbonate in Nelson.
A man in his 20s was trapped in their vehicle until firefighters removed both passenger doors.
Spinal precautions were taken and the patient went to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No word exactly what caused the crash.
