Lauren Mirva was sworn in Thursday. She’s one of three female officers in the department.

Mirva graduated from L.V. Rogers Secondary, where she was awarded the top female athlete award for her graduating year.

She has a degree in criminology from Mount Royal University and has worked as a security officer and seasonal forest firefighter.
