Cops for Kids rides again

Cops for Kids hits the road again today.

Twenty-eight cyclists and seven support people will depart Kelowna on a journey through Southeast BC.

RCMP Cst. Rob Gardner — formerly stationed in Castlegar — has been doing it for five years.

This year, the team includes a large Kootenay contingent.

BC Sheriffs Rob Crowder and Mike Kosof are joined again this year by Karen Armstrong from the Nelson RCMP detachment, along with rookies Cst. Bill Long of the Nelson RCMP and Cst. Eva Harding of the Trail RCMP.

The tour reaches Grand Forks on Saturday, Castlegar and Rossland on Sunday, Nelson on Monday, and Creston on Tuesday.
