Nelson street outreach workers hired

Nelson’s street outreach team has been hired.

Rona Park of the street culture collaborative says three outreach workers and three student nurses are now in place.

Park says they received 32 applications for the positions.

After some training the team will go to work late this month or early next.

It’s part of a year-long pilot project to work with Nelson’s street population and address ongoing issues.
