Public access to the Siktum Creek alpine has been restored.
The Ministry of Forests decommissioned the old road two years ago.
But Nelson Sno-Goers president Doug Brackett says his club has made it accessible again.
Brackett credits club member Greg Munch with securing grants and doing much of the work.
They received funding from the Columbia Basin Trust and Regional District of Central Kootenay.
