Nelson to revisit permissive tax policy

Nelson city council has granted permissive tax exemptions to all the churches that were seeking them.

But mayor Deb Kozak says that doesn’t end the conversation.

They’ll revisit their policy in six months.

The collective sum of the exemptions slightly exceeded a limit set by a previous council, but the current council approved it anyway.

The exemptions are good for four years.
