Nelson RCMP have recovered a stolen jeep and arrested two men in the crime.

In a news release, Sgt. Monty Taylor said just before 8 a.m. today a business in South Slocan reported a suspicious man was wandering around the business.

Officers responded and found the jeep with the two local men, ages 28 and 38, inside.

The jeep was stolen from Nelson Ave. on Wednesday.

Both men remain in custody pending a bail hearing.

One had an outstanding warrant for theft and possession of stolen property.

Taylor said they found items in the jeep that they also believe to be stolen.
