Municipal tax incentives could be used to promote development in Nelson’s Railtown neighbourhood.
It’s one aspect of a plan development services manager Pam Mierau presented to city council this week.
Mierau says public feedback on the draft plan was strongly in favor of mixed-use development.
But it was strongly against three-storey residential near Cottowood Park so that’s off the table.
Council is expected to adopt the plan before the end of the year.
