Man stabbed in Kaslo

A 68-year-old Kaslo man is in hospital following a stabbing in that community.

RCMP say they were called to a disturbance on C Ave. around 5:20 p.m. Monday.

They found one man with stab wounds to his upper torso. He was taken to Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson and then transferred to Kelowna.

Police say he is expected to recover.

A 62-year-old Kaslo man was arrested and is awaiting a bail hearing.

The men knew each other.
