Kootenay Savings work stoppage into 2nd week

The union says it’s a lockout, management says it’s a strike.

But either way picket lines remain up at all Kootenay Savings branches.

The work stoppage began a week ago today and no new talks are scheduled.

Pension language and wages are among the outstanding issues.

Branches in Salmo, Kaslo, and Fruitvale are closed while South Slocan, Castlegar, and Trail have reduced hours.
