Nelson council rescinds dispensary bylaw

Nelson’s controversial zoning amendment addressing marijuana dispensaries has been rescinded.

Councillor Anna Purcell asked that it be reconsidered this morning.

She still supports what they were trying to do but feels it was rolled out badly.

But councillor Janice Morrison was vehemently opposed.

The bylaw now hangs at third reading which means it could still be adopted one day.
