Kaslo, Nakusp Mounties honoured for bravery

Two local RCMP officers have been recognized for their courage in the face of danger.

Nakusp Cst. Lee Bellamy helped disarm a suicidal man while serving with the Prince George detachment.

And Kaslo Cst. David Gammon rescued a woman and her children trapped in a vehicle during a flash flood.

That was while he was working in Ashcroft.

The two Mounties were among 56 officers honoured last week from across b-c.
