Balfour water system in line for major upgrades

Six years after a new treatment plant opened more upgrades are on the way for the Balfour water system.

Regional director Ramona Faust says the system needs about $3.4 million worth of improvements.

A counterpetition period is on until April 3 if there are any objections.

It would take 333 signatures to put a kibosh on the borrowing.
