The Western Forestry Contractors Association welcomes a government funding announcement.
Executive director John Betts, who lives in Queens Bay, says the $150 million is great news.
It’s going to the Forest Enhancement Society of BC to plant tens of millions more trees.
But Betts says it will probably take a couple of years to see the actual impacts of the funding.
The latest announcement is in addition to $85 million announced last year.
The government says it will fight climate change.
