Nelson’s chief librarian is retiring.
June Stockdale will step down at the end of July after nine years.
During her time she oversaw a major expansion and renovation.
She also saw the library service expanded to the Slocan Valley and parts of rural Nelson.
Stockdale previously served as chief librarian in Castlegar and Salmo.
The call has gone out for her replacement.
