Nelson Police Department marks 120 years

The Nelson Police Department is marking its 120th birthday.

It was founded on April 17, 1897.

They received a commendation from city council last week and Chief Paul Burkart explains what it says.

The police department originally started with two officers.

Burkart is the 21st chief in its history.
