The Southeast Fire Centre is planning a 30-hectare prescribed burn near Hope Creek in the Lardeau Valley.
Fire information officer Karlie Shaughnessy says it will be a controled environment.
Smoke may be visible from Highway 31 between Poplar Creek and Trout Lake as well as in Meadow Creek.
