Evacuation alert rescinded near Riondel

The potential danger from a small landslide near Riondel on Kootenay Lake has diminished.

That’s led the RDCK to rescind the Evacuation Alert for the four properties at the mouth of Tam O’Shanter Creek.

The alert had been in place since June 5th when the slide further up the creek caused rising levels and debris issues in the creek.
