The historic seats at Nelson’s Capitol Theatre will get new upholstery for the first time in 30 years.
Executive director Stephanie Fischer says the seats are an integral part of the theatre.
The seats came from an art deco theatre in Vancouver demolished in the 1980s.
The work is thanks to a $58,000 Columbia Basin Trust built heritage grant that will also pay for fire safety improvements.
