BC Timber Sales takes ‘cautious approach’ to Quartz Creek watershed

BC Timber Sales says it takes the concerns of Ymir residents seriously.

Logging planned for the Quartz Creek watershed has many people nervous about their drinking water.

But woodlands supervisor Ken Scown says they’re taking a very cautious approach.

Scown says more studies are planned.

He adds they’re working with the Ymir Watershed Action Team and will do field reviews with them.

Road construction is still two years away and harvesting is four years away.
