The Regional District of Central Kootenay is placing Balfour on Stage 2 water restrictions.
Utility services manager Jason McDiarmid says it further limits when lawns and gardens can be watered.
McDiarmid says it will probably take at least a few days for reservoir levels to recover.
Erickson and Balfour are the only two RDCK-operated water systems now on Stage 2.
