Nelson’s Pacific Insight has been sold to a Chicago company.
Methode electronics inc will pay $144 million Canadian for the firm.
But Insight manufacturing director Doug Mann says it should remain business as usual.
Pacific Insight also has a plant in Mexico and offices in Vancouver and Detroit.
Overall it employs about 1,100 people.
The firm started in Prince George and moved to Nelson in 1987.
