The first members of a delegation from Nelson’s sister city of Izushi, Japan arrive today.
Nine people are coming in two separate groups including the mayor and a councillor.
John Armstrong of the Nelson-Isuzhi Friendship Society says they’ll have a busy schedule.
On Monday at 3 they’ll dedicate the new friendship gate in the park.
It marks the 30th anniversary of the sister city relationship.
