Nelson’s Ward Street Place will get a new heat pump exchange system.
It’s thanks to $100,000 from the Columbia Basin Trust’s energy retrofit program.
Nelson CARES society executive director Jenny Robinson says it’s not part of the ongoing Room to Live campaign.
Right now the 45-unit apartment building has electrical heating which Robinson says is very expensive.
They expect to tender the job in the fall and have it finished by February.
