BC Wildfire crews have been helped by recent rainfall in their ongoing battles with three blazes.
Both the Harrop Creek and Kokanee Creek wildfires have received 22 to 25 mm of rain.
Suppression efforts have been successful for the Harrop Creek fire.
An evacuation alert for 135 properties near the Kokanee Creek blaze remains in effect as a precaution as air and ground crews continue to combat that one.
The McCormick Creek wildfire is now 40 per cent contained on the Salmo River/Pend D’Oreille side.
All nearby evacuation alerts and orders are still in place.
Highway 6 is closed form the border to the Highway 3 junction and the Nelway Border crossing is also closed.
