Volunteer lighting efforts may need to stop: Councillor

Efforts by the volunteer group who’ve been putting up Christmas lights on Nelson’s Baker Street the last few years may need to stop.

This from Councillor Deb Kozak as the City seeks an expert to plan an overall lighting look for the downtown’s future.
Kozak says there’s a need to ensure businesss owners and the community are invested in the whole look.
The volunteer senior group wanted to finish all of baker street this year and aren’t happy the City is putting on the brakes.
Kozak says work done to date will still be shown off.
