The largest fire in our area this summer is now in mop-up stage.
Deb Burnett with the Regional District of Central Kootenay says crews almost have the Harrop Creek fire in hand.
The fire has burned about 2,500 hectares.
Burnett says things also look good for the Rapid Creek fire that has the Poplar area on evacuation alert.
That fire is about 500 hectares.
