Nelson’s air quality is presently the worst in the BC interior.
That according to meteorologist Tarek Ayache.
He also says most of the smoke we’re seeing in the West Kootenay isn’t actually from local fires.
Ayache says some of it is from as far away as California.
He expects the present conditions to persist for at least the next day.
