Over 30 local businesses and organizations have now committed to switching to 100 per cent renewable energy.
West Kootenay EcoSociety executive director Matthew Carroll says it’s a diverse bunch.
Carroll says they’re hoping to get the number up to 60 by year’s end.
But he adds there’s still a lot of work to figure out how they’ll meet their target by 2050 or sooner.
