The City of Nelson will contribute $15,000 in matching funds to the Room to Live campaign.
That’s the ongoing effort by the Nelson CARES Society to overhaul the apartments at Ward Street Place.
Councillor Janice Morrison says the city’s housing committee recommended the move.
The grant will match any funds raised by Room to lLve until the end of the year.
It comes from the city’s affordable housing fund that stands at $41,000.
