A memorial service for a well-loved East Shore teacher will be held next month.
Alvin Dunic drowned in Crawford Creek in the spring while looking for a place to do a class project.
Superintendent Jeff Jones expects the school to be involved.
Jones remembers his final conversation with Dunic.
The memorial is Oct. 14 at the Yasodhara Ashram in the new Temple of Light starting at 1:30 p.m.
