A two-day arbitration hearing gets underway this morning involving Nelson’s 11 professional firefighters.
Robert Blasina will hear arguments from both sides at the Prestige Lakeside Resort.
Firefighters have been without a contract for six years.
The last one also went to arbitration and resulted in a 24.5 per cent wage increase.
