Scholarships announced for Selkirk College pre-med students

A student in Selkirk College’s rural pre-medicine progam is one of a dozen to receive a major scholarship.

It’s through the joint standing committee on rural issues and the Kootenay Boundary Division of Family Practice.

Nelson’s Hannah Montgomery got $5,000.

The joint standing committee on rural issues is a partnership betwen Doctors of BC and the provincial government.

The committee aims to enhance the availability of services from rural physicians.
