HomeKootenay NewsUPDATED: Nelson Landing site back up for sale

UPDATED: Nelson Landing site back up for sale

The owners of the Nelson Landing property on the city’s waterfront are selling the property.

In a news release today, Storm Mountain Development Corp. said it is “reaching out to developers and builders in Nelson to invite them to express their creative ideas” on the property.

CEO Allard Ockeloen explains.

The entire 13-acre property is for sale for just under $4 million, but Ockeleon says they want to hear from anyone who might want to take on a smaller-scale project.

The plan for Nelson Landing was 265 residential units of various types between the water and the CP Rail line from the old Kootenay Forest Products mill site and beyond Red Sands Beach.

While none of the housing units have been completed, the permits are all in place.

Ockeloen says they’re busy with another development on Vancouver Island and so haven’t been able to give Nelson Landing as much attention.
