Nelson council endorses age friendly action plan

Nelson’s age friendly co-ordinator is delighted a community action plan now has city council’s blessing.

Corinne Younie says it shows the city’s commitment to making life easier for seniors.

But Younie says an age-friendly lends can be applied to any future developments.

She says there’s also work to be done with sidewalks, transportation, and snow removal.
