Time to quit bargaining in the media: NDTA President

It’s time to quit bargaining in the media.
That’s the thinking from Nelson and District Teachers Association President Paul Boscariol after the further apparent stalemate in the contract dispute with the Public School Employers Association.
He says it’s not helpful having pronouncements by Education Minister Peter Fassbender all the time.
Fassbender has not completely dismissed the BCTF call for a mediator but has suggested the two sides are still so far apart it may not be worthwhile.
The government says union calls for two separate annual funds of $225-million each to address class size and professional development are affordable.
