Nelson’s Dryden Hunt got about 24 minutes of playing time in his first two NHL games over the weekend.
He was in the lineup as Florida beat Buffalo Friday and lost to New Jersey Saturday.
The centre didn’t pick up any points but threw five hits and blocked two shots.
The Panthers host Dallas on Tuesday.
Hunt, 21, was recalled last week from the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL.
