BC’s Minister of Citizen Services has been touring the West Kootenay this week.
Jinny sims was in Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, and Rossland.
She met with local tech firms and talked about the possibilities and advantages of broadband.
Sims likens broadband to the railways built across Canada that opened up new markets.
She says it lets people live here but work around the world.
