The president of the Nelson Leafs says changes have been made to prevent theft from their bottle depot.
John Dooley says they’ve taken the steps after a former employee was caught stealing money.
He adds they’re looking at ways to reduce the amount of cash handled through the depot.
Dezmond Waggoner was sentenced to a year’s probation last week.
But he only admitted to taking $80 while Dooley says the team was out about $15,000.
