Vallican mailboxes damaged in hit-and-run

RCMP say mailboxes in Vallican were damaged this morning after someone lost control of their maroon 1990s Jeep Cherokee Wagon.

The vehicle was seen speeding around 9 a.m. from Little Slocan South Road onto Indian Point Road. It struck and damaged the mailboxes.

The vehicle fled the scene.

Police say there should be damage to the jeep’s front driver’s side around the headlights area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Nelson RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
