Cannings brings wood bill to House of Commons

The MP for South Okanagan West Kootenay is championing the use of wood.

Richard Cannings’ Bill C-354 had its first hour of debate in the House of Commons today.

If the bill passes it would force the government to consider using wood for major infrastructure projects.

He hopes the bill will further promote these advances to help support forestry communities across Canada.

He says this includes using more wood at home or exporting to Asia.
