UPDATED: Columbia Basin Trust announces affordable housing partnership

The BC government is teaming up with the Columbia Basin Trust to make affordable rental housing more accessible in our region.

The province and Trust will both invest $14 million over the next three years to create 225 affordable rental units.

The Trust’s delivery of benefits director Aimee Ambrosone says the initiative will address community priorities in the Basin.

She says projects will be approved community-by-community.

They’re interested in projects that address community priorites.

The Trust will work with BC Housing to coordinate project development.
